microworlds

2018-ONGOING

Rough edges. Dancing colors. Microplastics swimming in plastic bags that float downstream. Worlds within our world.

Looking under the microscope is akin to having an entire new world opened up to you_ an entirety within a drop of water. In these compositions I am capturing the beauty in nature and the the abstract that I find under the lens and am pairing that with plastic and microplastics that I find in the stream. My samples document both organic life as well as act as evidence of the extent to which anthropocenenic plastic pollution has reached.
